Polystyrene waste is able to be recycled in North Devon this Christmas
Holidays are usually when rubbish piles up, especially Christmas and New Year’s Day, which is a time of national celebration.
Polystyrene packaging waste has become a holiday headache, because it is large in volume, which occupies a lot of space, inconvenient for long-term storage. In addition, polystyrene is very easy to take up the trash can, if it happened to encounter strong wind weather, broken polystyrene will also fly in the wind, causing white pollution.
However, businesses and households will be able to recycle polystyrene in North Devon this Christmas.
“For many people, when they open a gift and wrap it in polystyrene, they are disappointed because they have to put it in the bin. So we invite them to give it to us, and we make sure it’s recycled.” explained Martin Mogford, the managing director.
SWM Recycling will open today (Thursday) and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Currently, north Devon county council or torridge district council does not recycle polystyrene. After some TV programs on the subject this year, the issue of recyclable packaging has caught people’s attention. Polystyrene packaging waste has been accepted now.
Collecting polystyrene waste is only the first step. What’s more important is to have professional machines to recycle it. GREENMAX polystyrene compactor is specially designed for polystyrene recycling. After the function of crushing and compressing, the waste polystyrene can be turned into tight blocks, which is 50 times smaller than before. So that the storage and transportation are no longer the problems for polystyrene disposal.
Recycling polystyrene packaging materials is a big problem during Christmas, so don’t neglect recycling while enjoying the holidays!
